Translator internship as a career start
What we offer our translator interns
As a trainee translator at Termbench, you will gain an insight into our multifaceted work. We offer internships in various areas, such as quality control or terminology management for online dictionaries. We guarantee continuous and committed support from a member of our HR department as well as from an experienced member of staff from the relevant specialist department.
We are a young and international team. You are in permanent contact with colleagues who join you from all over the world. Team spirit is very important to us. In our virtual coffee kitchen we drink coffee, tea, mate or chai together and exchange information about all important events. We would be happy to welcome you to our team. Just send us a CV in table form and a short letter of motivation for the next evaluation round.
A planning meeting is held at the beginning of every internship as a translator. We rely on flat hierarchies and you will be involved in the planning process and the elaboration of the objectives. Together with you, we create a work plan for the entire internship period.
In weekly online meetings with your internship supervisor, your work results will be reviewed and the focus modified if necessary. Our standard internship lasts three months. If you would like to work for a different period, we can discuss this with you.
If we have aroused your interest in an internship as a translator with us and you are currently enrolled in a degree programme in translation and interpreting at a university, please send us your complete and informative application documents.
What we expect
When selecting our interns, we place a lot of emphasis on personality. It is important to us that you share our values and fit well into the team. You must have organisational skills, initiative and enjoy working independently. Of course, we also pay attention to your academic achievements and professional knowledge.
